EXO hires infrastructure advocate and industry veteran Ken Sharpless as Director of Utility Sales.

Mr. Sharpless brings over 34 years of experience in the power delivery and utility structures industries. His unique combination of experience includes leadership roles within utility, consultant, and supplier organizations. Ken also serves on multiple industry committees including ASCE Codes and Standards, SEI Executive Committee for Codes and Standards, was a past chair of ASCE 48 for steel poles, and currently chairs a new standard for concrete poles. Mr. Sharpless is passionate about smart solutions and true customer service as evidenced in his work involving lattice tower family remediation, wood pole life expectancy determination, and historic moonlight tower restoration at Austin Energy. His time as general manager and engineering vice president for several concrete and steel pole manufacturers led to the famous mickey mouse pole in Orlando, to the concrete/steel hybrid pole as co-inventor, and to successful cultural and organizational transformations. His consulting engineering experience yielded mutually beneficial master service agreements and successful asset management projects with a number of large IOU’s.

Mr. Sharpless has a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a GMP from Harvard Business School. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
