Quality Assurance - Frequently Asked Questions

Quality assurance programs are designed to prevent fabrication defects from escaping the factory through proper specification & design, purchasing, planning, fabrication oversight, installation, and maintenance of poles, towers, and other infrastructure assets. Proper quality assurance minimizes the threat of structural failure, and implements repair and remediation at the first sign of any issues.

Examples of quality assurance include code, standards, and specification compliance, supplier assessment and process controls, daily activity reports, non-conformance tracking and reporting, in-process sampling, and post-fabrication testing and inspection. Additional quality assurance for assets could include asset defect identification, RFI/RFP consultation, project monitoring, and specification development. Your asset managment team can customize a plan according to your specific infrastructure needs.
